Winter arrived this week but the cold didn't stop us from getting things done... it was another crazy week down here at the M&A HQ!
We met with two AMAZING Social Workers from a hospital to discuss new NDIS participants. Sadly some of these people have been in hospital for two years or more. (Good lesson to be thankful for everything that we have)
Advocated for a family who do not speak English well and have only been in Australia for 4 years.
Met and onboarded two amazing participants.
Reviewed 35 files with a Case Manager and had the discussion of how they were going, what services needed to be increased, the potential need for more hours for Allied Health to be involved and organising several mini holidays.
Spent a whole day at a West Melbourne/Geelong networking Roadshow where we met and spoke with some amazing people and businesses.
Provided supports to a new participant who needed assistance to source therapies quickly and we were able to do this within 48 hours.
Received great feedback from a Local Area Coordinator with regards to a review report we submitted, that assisted a participant to access increased NDIS supports for behaviour support needs.
Today has ended with being invited to a Disability Support Provider Staff meeting to speak to their staff on what Support Coordinators look for in good Support Workers.
We love looking back on our weeks and taking in everything that we achieved Hats off to our team who are working so hard to get all of this done and who continuously show up with a positive and inspiring mindset.
